Our Philosophy
Small groups, which are actually small groups
The term “small group” seems to have become a bit of a buzz word in the world of dog walking. And don’t get me wrong, compared to doggy daycare or some businesses who take vans full of dogs to exercise fields, 4 or 5 dogs is a smaller group. And I genuinely mean that with no disrespect to businesses who structure their walks this way - for some dogs these work really well! I just don't believe that 4, 5 and sometimes even 6 dogs is a 'small group'. Smaller, yes, but not small. My group walks are made up of a maximum of 3 dogs to ensure I have complete control at all times and each dog has my attention.
Small groups = less time in the car. I make sure the walks are in stimulating, safe and interesting environments, which sometimes means driving to these locations. However, I ensure these are always SHORT drives away to minimise the time in the car for the dogs. With a maximum of 3 dogs in each group, this makes sure pick-up and drop-off times are at a minimum so dogs are not left in the vehicle for a prolonged period of time.

Walks with purpose
Here at Moochin’ Pooches, I really focus on walks with purpose. This means walks that provide actual enrichment, exploration and adventure - it’s not just about taking your dog to a space to run around for an hour. Again, for some dogs, this is exactly what they need and some exercise fields have great equipment for a fun hour of play. But I believe dogs also need new environments, new stimulus and new sniffs to get the most out of their walks, both physically and mentally. This is why we explore local trails across Angmering, East Preston, Rustington & surrounding areas and I am always looking out for new routes to keep the adventures fun for the dogs!
At MP you can be safe in the knowledge your dog is having a great time with their friends and would absolutely tell you all about it if they could!

Safety First
I am canine first aid trained, DBS checked, fully insured and hold a full clean driving licence so you can be assured your pooches are in safe hands.

My car is fitted with barriers, dog specific seatbelts and seat safety covers to ensure your dogs are the safest they can be when travelling with me. Dogs have enough space to be comfortable, but are secure enough that they are safe and controlled.

I also regularly take courses and qualifications to further my knowledge on dog behaviour, body language, breed specific requirements and more.

A Personal Approach

I always do a meet and greet so you can get to know me, ask me any questions you might have and make sure I am the right person for you and your dog. Meet and greets are free of charge and there is no obligation to proceed with my services, and I’d be happy to point you in the direction of someone who might be a better fit if required!
I take into consideration your dogs needs and personality and how they will fit into a group walk situation. I always endeavour to walk your dogs at the time you need but each group will be carefully considered so that dogs are well matched.
I am friendly, reliable and trustworthy and genuinely passionate about dogs and their welfare. I really do treat them as my own and so if Moochin’ Pooches sounds like the business for you then get in touch today!
ABOUT ME
So now you've learnt a little bit more about the business, I'll introduce myself! I’m Lydia and I started Moochin' Pooches in February 2022 after deciding my job in marketing just wasn’t right for me and I wanted to do something about it. I absolutely adore dogs and have been obsessed with them from a very young age. I also love spending time outdoors so decided I would combine the two, take the leap of faith and start my own little doggy walking business!
We have had dogs in the family since I was 9 and we currently have a miniature goldendoodle called Yogi, who joined our family in 2020. He is quite an anxious pup and as an owner of a nervous doggy, I wanted to create a business that catered to dogs who require a slightly more tailored and personal approach to group walks.
Thank you so much for visiting my website and look forward to hearing from you!

Services
My main service is small group walks. If you require a service that isn't listed such as pop-in visits, pet taxi (such as to the vets or groomers), evening sitting or anything else then please do get in touch as I am always happy to see if I can help out!

Small Group Walks
£16 per session
Here at Moochin’ Pooches, your dogs' safety is my number one priority, which is why my group walks are limited to a maximum of 3 dogs. My walks are structured in 3 sessions per day, at the following times:
9.30am - 11.30am
11.30am - 1.30pm
1.30pm - 3.30pm
These timeslots include pick up, the short drive to our walk location, minimum 1 hour walk and ensures I have time at the drop off to get your dog cleaned and settled with fresh water and a quick snack if required!
As mentioned previously, whilst I will always endeavour to accommodate clients' timeslot preferences, it should be noted that groups are carefully considered to ensure every dog feels comfortable and personalities, energy levels and requirements of the walk are well matched.

My small group walks are perfect for dogs who love to socialise and play or even for those who need a friend to help bring out some confidence!
The walks are based on enrichment, having fun, adventure, exploration and are always in safe environments such as local trails across the Angmering, East Preston, Rustington areas and also the occasional beach trip!
